Surprise on Wedding Aniversay- A moment to remember..
Surprise on Wedding Aniversay- A moment to remember..
It was in 2004-05, our SON was born with complications, he was diagnosed to be cerebral palsy child. I went to my mom's place for a long stay. Although my husband and myself loved each other a lot and we were very positive for our son but still I needed the back-up energy to prepare myself for the hectic future life. My husband used to have off on second saturday's of each month, so every month he used to come and meet us for three days. Those were the early days of our parent-hood, I had left my job to take care of the baby...even before he was born and after he came going back to job was job was not going to be an option ever for us, on top of it my son was going to need loads of money for treatment, since he came and then later we were going to need a lot of dedication, serious planning in the way we spend, the way we live our life, the way we design our future, the things we can do for him, the personal life, the outings, the life together all needed a serious thought over and make over...we will never be carefree couple again...and we knew it....so..we could'nt think of taking day-off's just like that...I was in a moment of transition, I had lost my liberty to get uwell, I had lost my liberty to be sleeping all day in Migrane...I had grown in that moment and my Husband too had grown.....
This narration here is of that special meeting with him...that time when he came to meet me..just me...although we were growing...maturing....but our love was growing too...As I said he used to visit me on the second Saturday Weekend....so even this time I was expecting him..our Marriage Anniversary was approaching...it falls on 17th feb, on "Vasant Panchami"by hindi calender....that year in 2005 "Vasant Panchami" was on Sunday, so we decided to celebrate this day as 17th was on Wednesday...and it was not possible for him to come...but..he got a tour..of Mysore...and he was not sure will he be able to reach me on that "special" weekend or not....he went to Udipi, Mysore, Manipal...Purchased a Mysore Silk sari for me...(one and only Gift he ever gave me of his choice..rest all I choose-He pays haha)...and decided to take a chance to come and meet me...That time for us was not the days of Aeroplane and flights...we were growing in each aspect and so ...he travelled by train...he had a direct return ticket for Hyderabad, but to come to me from Mysore, come to Aurangabad...was a tedious plan...he was first supposed to go to Bombay (30hrs) and then from Bombay to Aurangabad (7hrs) non-stop...Without Ticket, in General Coach...on the seat of wooden bars and no foam comfort, of the coach of high passengers and no resting...he had to choose of comfort of going to Hyderabad by comfort with reserved ticket and 20hrs journey or to come to me on time by lots and lots of pain and discomfort....
All through his life he travelled with AC II tyre coaches, he had decided to take the adventurous voayge to meet me with all the pains and strain...but his mind was happy..just like..Salman sings..."Deevana main chala"
That Aniversay was more DEAR to me than our marriage itself. It was his determination that bought him near to me in person, mentally we are already united always, and the biggest joy was all this was a SURPRISE...he did not tell me before starting for this voyage that he is coming home....so when he came that evening, I was overjoyed...just like a teenager...a young lover and delighted by the sudden surprise to see her lover...!!!
My husband is not a person who will say "I love You" ten times a day, and when person like him do things like this, totally unlike his nature...I fell in his love all over again...I give my heart to him forever..and ever..!!!

From a nagging wife to LOVING wife..
From a nagging wife to LOVING wife..
17th Februrary 2002 we got married..six years from now..we are so much in love today, we are together for each other, but it was not always like this. when we married via arranged marriage we hardly knew each other,.
The days were fun, we liked each others company, the talks were good,. But I had to go back complete my job committments. I was a lecturer in my home-town, and he was a lecturer in his home-town.Immediately after marriage I returned for completing my academic year and my Research Paper, in 2 year of lecturership I had already published 1 national level, UGC paper and was working on my another paper. My husband came to meet me sometimes I too went to my sasural for interviews, but the distance between us grew, differences became wider with each passing day.He was a very patient young handsome man, but he too started loosing his cool..when I came back forever to sasural, leaving a settled job, and adjust to a unsettled new life totally different from where I belonged I was constantly complaining cribbing on isssues meaningless and baseless....I was confused too as it was like my nature, it was a different lady..i dint knew her at all....but all the same she was there..she was in me and speaking thru me....
One day, Thursday, July 7th, 4 months after our marriage, we were having soup, I was nagging as usual, he had not said a word. he loved me more than anyone else, he always cared for my laughter, he always accepted my point of view but at the same time he could not do much to convince me that all will be fine soon, that I would get a job soon, that I will adjust too in the new house, though the new house was completely different from the house I came from, though the expectation for life after marriage was different from those of normal girl, though I still lived in a fairy tale love story world...He very well understood that I miss my parents, my job, my students etc. Suddenly I stopped nagging to expect his reaction he was silent, dead silent. Just staring..not gazing me..not looking in my eyes..just beyond me...deep in me..as if seeing his ownself and also seeing me at the same time..His eyes were so painful, I could see thru' his eyes he could very well understand what I am going through that he could feel what I was feeling & suddenly I melted...He became my Prince Charming, knew I can never hurt him ever, I knew his dreams are more important for me than my small girlish problem, I knew that somethings are better left the way they r to be settled than crying over them and wasting the best time of one's life...
I could remember my transformation, i could remember how I started loving him..I guess in India...Arranged marriage work more because Girls & Boys understand this at one point or another..and they then love each other for all their life.
From that day onwards till today we never had a fight. I know I don't love anyone more than I do love him. His eyes spoke that day volumes what words can't speak. They are still there in front of me, I love him and he is always there for me...

My Journey with Amitabh Bachchan-Part I
My Journey with Amitabh Bachchan,
A tribute to Amitabh Bachchan movies..on which I grew..
Life began in 76…but my memory goes back to early 80’s when I remember seeing this iconic man in front of my eyes…in cinema hall..my mom was not much of his fan..she was a movie buff..she liked going to theatre and see movies..and each time they went they took us along..initially I guess my brothers first movie was Ramayan / Mahabharatha..i am not sure of the title…I was too small to rem anything..that was in Maratha Mandir,Mumbai. Then first movie that I remember I saw is Gandhi..in my hometown and from here my memory starts..we used to go to all Amitabh movies..basically because we were his fan..my brother was a major reason..he decided the movie and we went..same as he decided my story books..he liked Chacha chaoudhary so he told me to buy the same and in hindi …in class 1..i dint knew how to read hindi and I liked Pinki in english..but he used to coax me and used to read books for me too..but then I realised we both like him..his movies gave us a thrill, a reason to talk, a reason to behave the way we did, after the movie we had good 4-5 days discussion on the whole movie..we had to enact the fight scenes at home…both of us..were AMITABH..no one was Amjad Khan..me being a girl was not anyone..I was Amitabh..too…villains were all the pillows and plants and anything that came our way..in the house..the movies I remember seeing in those times were..Shan, Naseeb in Mumbai…then Mard…I rem the introduction song..when Amitabh comes up from Tonga…Badal and shera..and the song..Mard taange wala hoon……..i rem the whole atmosphere in the theatre and my another love…Horse and Dog…I rem all the dogs we bought from street after that when we were small were named Shera / Sheru…since then…till I got my last dog in 1999 (another street dog from my insititute of science, where I was pursuing my PG, the dog and his mom and his sis were all my friends..i named him Sandy and his sis Pepsi…I bought Sandy home…Pepsi was taken care off by me in college...)… I rem I practised whole day to be able to whistle with my fingers in my mouth…whole saliva thing on my dress and hand…one whole day and by evening I cud whistle..with my thumb and fore finger, thumb and middle finger, thumb and ring finger and thumb and little finger..the only thing I cudt do was by one finger alone..haha..
Then another movie that I remember nicely was Mahan..and I rem the old Amitabh being lashed…then Adalat…I rem Amitabh walking on the street with his bag..( I dint quiet understand the movie that time..but beard and Amitabh and Court is what I remember), Akhiri Raasta ,…I learned riding bike…all Bullet, yezdi, Samurai, bajaj, splendor…only because Meenakshi rode bike in this movie with Amitabh watchin her..he made me “Phoolan Devi of my Insitiute..”Shehenshah…”Mukhtar singh ka naam tho suna hoga…” are the two movies I remember as a child..when I was just growing and anything I saw was making impact on my mind..anything that I read and understood was directly going in my brain to remember..infact till 1991 I don’t remember I had seen any movie in theatre which did not had Amitabh in it.I guess it made me a better human being and also a King in my life..(not Queen)..i am a rough, hard, strong, born to rule attitude type person…because his films made us such..his film never made us cry and screem at pain, his dialogues…”Mard ko dard nahin hota”…”sawal jis jaban mein kiya jaye jawab bhi usi jaban mein deneka”…”Main aaj bhi fenke hue paise nahin uthatha”.. or..the fight with God, or care for mom’s in the movie..care for brother, sister, friend…care for animals, made me a better person..he made me believe that one can live a life without waiting for others to come and help, he made me believe one can live a happy successful life..by believing in himself…the time when Rakhi and he decided to go thr destined way in Kabhi Kabhi made me believe values for elders and correct decision in life..made me believe that Family matter, family name matters…
This is a tribute to all those movies gone by which I can see hundred times over and over again…for me my life stopped there and my era stopped there..they say some good movies like Lagan shud be shown in IIM for better management gurus..I SAY ALL AMITABH MOVIES SHOULD BE SHOWN IN SCHOOL AND AT HOME TO CHILDREN WHO ARE GROWING TO MAKE CHILDREN BETTER HUMAN-BEING…

Benefits of Drumstick Plant !!!
Benefits of Drumstick Plant !!!
What is moringa ?
(Japaneese) / ITALIAN : Been, Bemen / FRENCH : Ben ailé, Ben ailée, Ben oléifère, Moringa ailée, Pois quénique.
Moringa also known as the Miracle Tree is a multipurpose plant, as the leaves, pods, fruits, flowers, roots and bark of the tree can be utilized. It is also referred to as Drumstick Tree by the Britishers. In the Philippines, they are referred to as malunggay or malungay. Others refer to moringa as horseradish tree, benzolive tree, kelor, marango, mlonge, moonga, nébéday, saijhan, sajna or Ben oil tree.
Why is moringa called the “Miracle Tree”?
Moringa leaves and pods when taken in regularly, will nourish the body with necessary vitamins and minerals. All parts of the moringa tree including leaves, pods, bark, seed, fruits and root has medicinal value. Hence, it was called the ‘Miracle Tree.’
What are the health benefits of moringa?
Scientific research confirms that these humble leaves are a powerhouse of nutritional value. Gram for gram, moringa leaves contain: SEVEN times the vitamin C in oranges, FOUR times the Calcium in milk, FOUR times the vitamin A in carrots, TWO times the protein in milk and THREE times the Potassium in bananas.
There are many benefits of the moringa tree, but the health benefits are the most important. Research has shown that various parts of the moringa tree can be effective in a significant number of health concerns. Here’s a quick look at a few of them:
1. Moringa is rich in Vitamin A. It contains four times more Vitamin A or beta-carotene than carrots. Hence, it is a weapon against blindness.
2. It is also a rich source of Vitamin C many times more than oranges.
3. Normally milk is said to be a rich source of calcium but the amount of calcium present in moringa leaves is way higher than in milk.
4. The moringa leaves are said to contain two times the protein present in milk.
5. Bananas are a rich source of potassium. But moringa leaves contain several times more potassium than bananas.
6. Along with potassium, zinc is also found in large quantities in moringa.
7. If moringa leaves were to be eaten by one and all, the world will be free of anemia as it contains three times more iron than spinach.
8. With all the junk food eaten these days, many people face problems of high cholesterol. Moringa helps in balancing the cholesterol levels in the body.
9. Essential Amino acids are also found in moringa.
10. Moringa is also said to balance sugar levels, hence it is helpful in the fight against diabetes.
11. The body’s natural defense mechanism increases with the consumption of moringa in the daily diet pattern. Since it is an immunity-stimulant, it is prescribed for AIDS afflicted patients.
12. Moringa leaves can be consumed to stimulate metabolism.
13. It is also said to have digestive powers.
14. It is a nutrition booster and is known to promote a feeling of well-being in people.
15. If you are looking for non-sugar based energy, then moringa leaves is the answer. Thus, it will also help in the weight loss process.
16. The cell structure of the body is stimulated by the moringa leaves.
17. It is especially useful for lactating mothers. The consumption of moringa has shown dramatic increase in the quantity of breast milk.
18. It is also famous for its anti-bacterial properties.
19. The paste of the moringa leaves is said to beautify the skin and is hence applied by women regularly.
20. Moringa leaves finely milled raw, then made the powder or mix it with powder, it can remove the black stains / spots / kokoloteun on facial skin. (Rediem)
21. It protects the liver and kidneys.
22. It can also be used as a water purifier.
What are the vitamins and minerals present in moringa?

Is moringa dried leaf powder more potent than fresh leaves?
When you take a delicate moringa leaf and carefully shade dry it - amazing things happen. There is significantly higher nutritional value in the moringa dried leaf, in some cases over ten times in specific nutrients when compared to fresh Moringa leaf. Many universities and independent research laboratory analyses have confirmed the higher nutritional values in the dried leaf powder. What’s more amazing is gram for gram comparison of moringa to common fruits and vegetables. The nutritional values of moringa’s many vitamins, minerals, amino acids, chlorophyll, and anti-aging compounds are higher than it’s own fresh leaves.
Does moringa have anti-ageing properties?
Moringa is one of the richest sources of antioxidants, with high contents of vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E and bioflavonoid. Active oxygen radicals steal electrons from normal, healthy biological molecules. This electron theft by active oxygen oxidizes tissue and can cause disease. By supplying the body with these nutrients we can find an effective method to block the oxidation of healthy tissue by active oxygen, then we can attempt to prevent disease and delay the ageing process.
What is the best method to take the moringa powder?
The best way is to mix it with a glass of orange juice or any other beverages. A teaspoon of moringa powder mixed in a glass of orange juice will give you a wholesome drink filled with nutrients. It can also be mixed in food and soup preparation.
Cheap way to purify ur water..I am starting eating Saijan in all forms from tomorow..as each house in my area has the plant…so…Here i come Moringa….haha…saijana re saijana…
Using Moringa Seeds as a Home Water Purification System
In order to make an effective water purification system, the Moringa seeds are dried and then ground into a powder. Unlike other particles in the water such as clay, bacteria, and other toxic materials which are negatively charged, the protein in the Moringa seed powder is positively charged, thereby attracting the negatively charged particles like a magnet. The flocs formed by the floculation process can then be easily removed by allowing the water to settle, or removed by filtration. This process is said not only to clarify turbid water significantly, but also to remove 90-99% of bacteria contained in water.
It would appear that there is overwhelming evidence to warrant giving the Moringa tree the title “Miracle Tree”. Not only can the Moringa provide highly nutritional food to the people who need it the most, but it can also clean their drinking water.
According to Baptiste Nduwayezu, leader of the Moringa Oleifera Project in Southern Africa, the tree can be dubbed “The Green Diamond of Africa” because it can also generate revenue if fully utilized for its medicinal and nutritional values. He added that “Moringa leaves and seeds can improve health conditions of HIV positive people, increase breast milk in lactating mothers, lead to improved health of babies and also treat a number diseases such as TB, diabetes, heart problems, lower blood sugar levels, eye and ear infections and other diseases”.
Apart from the problem of poor nutrition in many developing countries, there is the problem of disease due to polluted drinking water. The fact that the seeds of the Moringa tree can purify and clarify water, thus eliminating most of its turbidity and bacteria, means that this tree truly is a miracle tree for many poor people.

From young…college age to….being a oldie…
Life is strange..it takes us far, it makes us to live, it makes us full of wisdom, strength, life, power, and decision making sense and then when we reach the age when we r free to take those decision life gives us complications, life gives us hurdles, life gives us heart-aches, life says slow-down, life makes each step dificult……….and so what do we do?
We slow down, we decide there is enough time to live our dream, we prepare and accept what life is telling us to do and we go in comfort zone, we SLOW-DOWN…and then by the time we realise we r 40+…we dont have much time…our heart is knocking hard, cholesterol is not someone elses problem now, school fees of kids is for real, june is month of shopping not diwali or christmas or ramazan….June…is full of burden…Fees, uniforms, shoes, books, hmmmm….heart attack is not a threat…each thud each pounding leads us to hospital…BP is ur head ache now, Diabetes is about to knock ur door…
Wifey is not so beautiful now…weight is not the same, neither is inclination to look beautiful, after 2 kids, after a heavy bellied husband and loads of house work and office….she dosent have time, neither energy to look spectacular as she did when u started dating her…or when u were newly married, or when ur first baby’s first bday was thr….life changes for both of u….and u realise u have lost 40 good years of ur life…
Then u turn 50…and u r in the category of old…ies…..ur advice is seeked when college addmission is taken…ur advice is taken when a groom is choosen for a neice or nephew…ur advice is seeked when someone in house is planning to go abroad, ur advice is seeked when someone is too naughty and not interested in studies….ur example is being given as a ideal uncle….or aunty….how good children u raised…how nicely u live…u feel wanted again…
So what if u dint live ur dream..so what if u dont look exactly the same way u thought of living at this age, so what if u r heavy in belly, bald in head, and had load of free advice…u are still sought after oldie in the house…
With kids grown up, moving in college, perhaps in another city or country….u have more time for urself…u have ur own CAR for urself now….ur wifey have a car too….both r now freer than u were in past 20 yrs….so…u relax again….u dress better…join a club, bring some young dress….jean and t-shirt….red, pink, yellow…ur wifey also enjoys her freedom…and relaxation….goes to beauty saloons….spa….and yoga…gets somewhat in shape…brings some young dresses…suits..if look permits..then jeans and t-shirts too…..hair dyes and a dash of lipsticks….but now…when u have so much time…money too…and both r thr for each other…u decide to travel..first to ooty…aaaaaahhhh the fisrt honey moon was here…shimla…the second honeymoon was planned for here which never took place…goa…hmmmm a dream destination…himachal…kashmir…still a dream…as by the time…u plan to raom around INDIA atleast….
U both also start crib…start fighting over the lost time…over the looks of each other..over how we have wasted so much time doing nothing….cud have done so much…WHY……..WHY……WHY?????
Kids coming home for vacation…wifey again busy in cooking childs fav meal…packing food for journey….achar, papad, chutneys, and so many things..Kids never ate it when they were home…now they miss these things when they are in AMerica….they miss MA ke haath ka KHana…and khate waqt dad ka daantna….they miss Indian festivals….they miss ghar ki chai….
And they have unknowingly drawn again in the same mill u went thru….they r again pushing thr dream back to live a so -called normal life…they r again earning money…seeking to have a family and having loads of money to enjoy later….LATER…..but u see LATER never comes….and we as a family never leads money…and never needs to put the dream away….to live it later….
One can live today…one can enjoy each day of life and one can still live….with all the praises and less illness…if taken proper care at proper time….
I dont know what i am writing…i dont even think i am thinking when i am writing….but i do believe what my mind is pouring on here is what i believe in….and we as a family is doing just that since last 12 months….and we r happy…we r together…for the past 8 yrs of married life..this is the first time i am with him and he with me….as in job…we were in office for 10 hours…then in kitchen and drawing room for next 4 hours…and in sleep for rest of the time…..so…its difficult to be with EACH OTHER…….leave alone living a DREAM…..
One shoud keep on DREAMING and then also LIVING it in reality…it makes life more interesting….
